House of Wine

Kathryn “Kat” House McClaskey is the founder of House of Wine, a wine shop and experience venue in downtown Boise with the mission of empowering connection through exceptional wine experiences. Throughout her 20 years in the wine industry, she has worked in various positions which have given her great perspective on the wine industry. From restaurant server to wine laboratory manager, assistant winemaker to director of education for a local distributor she understands wine from grapes to glass. She holds a Masters degree in Viticulture and Enology, is a certified educator for the Wine and Spirits Education Trust, and has various other wine certifications. A perpetual student, Kat continues her pursuit of learning and is a student in the last stage of the most prestigious and challenging wine education program in the world: Master of Wine.
